Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (also called Terms of Use or Terms & Conditions) govern your access to and use of RunTo Live mobile apps, Apple Watch app, and website at https://runtolive.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

RunTo Live lets you record and broadcast runs, sync with Apple Watch and Apple Health, follow friends, capture territory, train with structured workouts, and view fitness analytics. Features may differ between free and paid offerings and may change over time.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You may delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is permanent for account content as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate law or others’ rights
  • Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
  • Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service
  • Scrape, spam, or misuse live links, social features, or APIs
  • Misrepresent Health or sensor data in a way that harms others

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Live sharing & content

  • You control who can view a live or shared run via links and visibility settings. You are responsible for what you broadcast and who you share with.
  • You retain rights to content you create. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service (including delivering streams and replays to people you share with).
  • Do not share content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

5. Apple Health, sensors & location

  • Apple Health / HealthKit access is optional and used only for health and fitness features described in the Privacy Policy and in-app disclosures.
  • Location, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, and photos are requested only for stated product purposes (tracking, live video, heart-rate sensors, media).
  • You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Paid features are not conditioned on granting Health access.

6. Health & safety disclaimer

RunTo Live is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Training load, zones, heart rate, recovery, and similar metrics are informational only. Outdoor running and live broadcasting involve inherent risks; you are solely responsible for your safety and for complying with traffic and local laws. Consult a physician before starting a new exercise program.

7. Subscriptions & purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Prices, trials, and renewals are shown at purchase time (including via the App Store). Unless required by law or platform rules, fees are non-refundable. Manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

8. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with Apple Health, Apple Watch, Clerk authentication, map providers, and other third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Intellectual property

The Service—including software, branding, and design—is owned by RunTo Live or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or marks except as allowed by these Terms or with written permission.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, accurate GPS/Health metrics, or availability of any third-party device integration.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUNTO LIVE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RunTo Live from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version at this URL and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in California will have jurisdiction, subject to those protections.
